Role: Technical Site Supervisor
Rate: Upto €85/hour + accommodation
Engagement: Contract
Duration: 6–12 months per site

Role Purpose

The Technical Site Supervisor provides full-time, client-side technical oversight on a live data centre construction site. The role exists to verify that physical construction works are executed in line with the approved design, specifications, and programme.

This role does not manage construction activities. The General Contractor remains fully responsible for execution, planning, and delivery. The Technical Site Supervisor observes, verifies, challenges where required, and reports factual site status to the Project Team and Client Technical Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the client’s full-time technical representative on site.

• Verify construction works against approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

• Monitor workmanship quality with a strong focus on technical compliance and detail.

• Identify deviations, defects, and non-conformances and raise them clearly and objectively.

• Exercise authority to stop work in cases of technical non-compliance or safety concerns.

• Track and contribute to punch lists and outstanding works.

• Maintain regular on-site interaction with the General Contractor and site teams strictly from a client oversight position.

• Produce weekly progress reports including written updates, photo documentation, and punch list status.

• Escalate risks, blockers, and technical issues promptly to the Project Team and Client Technical Director.

Authority and Boundaries

• Authority to stop work for technical or safety-related reasons.

• No responsibility for construction planning or contractor management.

• No budget or commercial responsibility.

• No people management responsibilities.

Project Context

• Large-scale data centre construction projects.

• Approximate capacity of 10MW per site.

• One Technical Site Supervisor required per site.

Required Profile

• Proven experience working on data centre construction projects.

• Strong understanding of data centre construction environments and technical interfaces.

• Ability to assess build quality against technical documentation.

• High attention to detail and a structured, factual reporting approach.

• Comfortable working independently on site.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Eligible to work in Europe without visa sponsorship.

• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data centre commissioning activities.

• Prior client-side or quality-focused oversight roles.

Practical Arrangements

• Fully resident on site for the duration of the project. Rotation is not applicable.

• Accommodation provided.

• Travel home once per month arranged.

• Standard working week of 40 hours, with flexibility required during critical activities.

• All worked hours are paid.

• Contract role only. This is not a permanent position.

Reporting Line

• Reports to Project Management.

• Functional reporting to the Client Technical Director.
