Job Opportunity: Software Engineer – Autonomy & Edge Computing (200–300k + Stock Options)

Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (not just a general US Clearance)

A stealth-mode startup in North New Jersey is looking for passionate and experienced engineers to join a high-impact team focused on developing next-generation unmanned vehicle technologies. The company has a strong foundation in autonomous systems and has demonstrated success in the robotics and drone space through previous ventures.

Although product details are classified, it is publicly known that the company is working on advanced unmanned systems, with a focus beyond traditional drone applications. Additional information will be disclosed during the interview process under NDA.

Role Overview: Software Engineer (Autonomy & Edge AI)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop flight autonomy capabilities for multi-agent systems.

• Lead development in two primary technical areas:

  1. Autonomy for coordination among multiple aerial platforms.

  2. Computer Vision on edge devices with real-time constraints.

• Collaborate closely with a small, high-caliber team to iterate rapidly on cutting-edge features.

• Participate in hands-on field testing and deployment.

Required Skills:

• Practical experience developing autonomy algorithms for UAVs or other autonomous platforms.

• Strong background in computer vision, edge AI, or related fields.

• Familiarity with real-world deployment and testing of robotics systems.

• Industry experience at organizations focused on aerospace, defense, or advanced robotics is a plus.
