Overview:
A stealth-mode robotics group building advanced humanoid robotic systems is hiring a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to lead development of motion planning and control software. The role requires deep understanding of multi-DoF control, trajectory optimization, and real-time systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance motion planning and control software for humanoid robots
• Implement multi-actuator control loops (torque, impedance, etc.)
• Coordinate with hardware and perception teams for real-world integration
• Lead simulation, validation, and field testing cycles
• Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience building control systems for complex robots
• Expertise in kinematics, dynamics, whole-body control, and trajectory optimization
• Proficient in C++ and Python, with ROS2 experience
• Familiarity with real-time control frameworks and hardware abstraction layers

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with humanoid or legged locomotion
• Background in sensor fusion or embedded real-time systems
• Publications or patents in robotics control or locomotion
