About the Role
We are seeking multiple experienced Senior Planners to support large-scale projects across the UK. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring alignment with client requirements, and driving project efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong expertise in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed baseline/master programs in Primavera P6, ensuring approval from clients and engineers.
- Create tender programs in line with project requirements.
- Integrate cost and resource loading into project schedules.
- Generate manpower histograms, KPIs, SPI, CPI, S-curves, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor project progress, updating schedules weekly and identifying risks, delays, and corrective actions.
- Conduct critical path and float analysis, developing recovery strategies as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, project managers, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
- Attend weekly progress meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Manage schedule impacts due to project changes and communicate associated risks effectively.
- Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to track project performance and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, conducting program health checks regularly.
- Review subcontractor schedules and develop site look-ahead and construction schedules.
- Track design progress, procurement status, and long-lead items.
- Prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Develop target and mitigation programs to manage project delays and meet objectives.
- Prepare and issue weekly and monthly reports for both clients and internal management.
- Mentor junior planners, fostering knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
- Support the Project Director with additional project-related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules with resource and cost integration.
- Experience conducting critical path analysis, float analysis, and delay assessments.
- Familiarity with contract claims, EOTs, and TIA preparation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze project risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- Experience preparing and presenting progress reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
