Insight are partnered with a leading robotics innovator seeking a hands-on Robotics Technician to support the development of next-generation consumer robotic systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced lab environment, working across the full hardware lifecycle—from precision assembly and soldering through to prototype build and system testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and test robotic hardware and subsystems

• Support prototype development from concept through to functional systems

• Perform soldering, cable harnessing, and mechanical assembly

• Diagnose and resolve electro-mechanical issues during build and testing phases

• Maintain lab equipment, calibration, and inventory systems

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve performance and reliability

Requirements

• ~5 years’ experience as a technician in robotics, mechatronics, or consumer hardware

• Strong hands-on skills with soldering, hand tools, and lab test equipment

• Experience with mechanical fabrication and component modification

• Familiarity with 3D CAD and/or PCB layout

• Ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems

• Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain a safe, efficient lab environment
