POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Engineering Team Leader to oversee both the Paint and Sealer Engineering groups. This leadership role combines strategic oversight, technical expertise, and team development to drive innovation, quality, and operational excellence across paint and sealer processes. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of automotive manufacturing systems, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and Manage a Multidisciplinary team of Paint and Sealer Process Engineers.

Oversee the design and development of paint and sealer application syst•

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior, mid-level, and junior engineers.ems, including robot and automated technologies4, Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and R&D teams to support product launches and process changes.

Develop and execute strategic plans focused on quality improvement, cost reduction, sustainability, and throughput enhancement.

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations across all process engineering activities.

Manage capital projects related to paint and sealer system upgrades, expansions, and new installations

Interface with OEMs, suppliers, and customers to align specifications, resolve issues, and support audits.

Drive standardization of engineering documentation, process controls, and best practices across both groups.• Monitor team performance, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely project delivery.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of Industry

Drive ISO standardization and process for Paint and Sealer Teams

Ensure team success through technical support both on and off site

Willingness to travel for project support and commissioning
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in process engineering within automotive or industrial manufacturing, including leadership or supervisory roles

Proven expertise in both paint and sealer application systems, including robotics, control systems, and defect analysis.

Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Experience managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.

Must be open to 80% travelPreferred:

Advanced knowledge of Fanuc robotic platforms, automated dispensing, and electrostatic spray systems.

Familiarity with MES tools, vision systems, and sensor integration.

Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies.

Experience with sustainability initiatives such as low-VOC coatings/sealants and energy-efficient curing.

Understanding of ISO/TS standards and OEM-specific process specifications.
