WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead as a key member of cross-functional project teams engaged in ongoing new product development.
  • Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies from concept through production release.
  • Perform detailed engineering analyses including FEA, GD&T application, and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure robust designs.
  • Support hands-on prototype fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and quality execution.
  • Support the development and execution of V&V activities, including test protocols, reports, fixtures, and test equipment.
  • Contribute technical documentation and engineering support for regulatory submissions (FDA, ISO).

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience; medical device and/or robotic systems experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong experience designing complex electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in FEA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of DFM/DFA, particularly for injection molding and machined components.
  • Experience developing and reviewing V&V test protocols and reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis in a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and supplier collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and mechanical troubleshooting.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • A mission-driven environment leading the way in surgical devices.
  • A strong company culture that is enforced through the hiring process ensures value alignment and a highly collaborative team.
  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes top-level medical, dental and vision plans, with generous employer contributions.
  • Employer paid long-term disability and life insurance.
