HSE Manager – Data Centre Project (Client Side)

Paris, France | 12-Month Contract | €90–€105 per Hour

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a leading data centre project in Paris, representing the client on a major hyperscale development.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a proactive health, safety and environmental professional with a strong background in large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial, pharmaceutical, or complex infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client's on-site HSE representative throughout the construction phase.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements, local regulations, and industry best practice.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
• Review and approve contractor method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work activities.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Drive a positive safety culture across all project stakeholders.
• Facilitate HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and safety workshops.
• Track and report key HSE performance indicators to project leadership.
• Support project teams in achieving project milestones while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HSE Manager on major construction projects.
• Previous experience working on data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, energy, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of French HSE regulations.
• Experience working client-side or managing principal contractors is highly desirable.
• Relevant HSE qualifications (NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and engage contractors and project teams at all levels.
• Fluent in both French and English
