Insight are looking for a technical Autonomous Fleet Manager who lives at the intersection of heavy civil construction and high-end robotics. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role: you are the primary technical authority in the field, responsible for keeping the autonomous fleet operational on utility-scale solar sites.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the sole on-site resource for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software failures on the fly.
- You aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. You’ll be calibrating sensors, swapping components, and maintaining advanced machinery.
- Document field anomalies and edge cases, translating real-world dirt and dust into actionable data for the engineering teams.
- Manage the deployment, staging, and preventative maintenance of robotics fleets across the US.
What You Bring
- Deep technical familiarity with tech-enabled heavy equipment (e.g., Vermeer PD-10s) or autonomous vehicle fleets (AVs).
- A background in mechanical/systems Engineering or equivalent strong field experience.
- The ability to operate as the lone technical lead on a busy construction site, making high-stakes decisions under pressure.
- The ability to explain complex hardware-software failures to off-site developers while managing on-site client expectations.
