Here at Insight Recruitment, we’re excited to further grow our US Tech team as we aim to explore new markets across the state. Sarah Longshaw joins the Insight family in the position of Recruitment Consultant.

About Sarah:

I am a recruitment consultant at Insight recruitment specialising in tech recruitment, specifically Golang, Rust and Elixir. I will be working with highly skilled software engineers and backend developers based in the US.

Why are you excited to work within this market?

Being able to work in the US market at Insight is something that really excites me, largely because of the opportunity for growth in this vast and relatively new market. I like being able to be a part of the evolution of this side of the company and play a role in the development, I find this really motivating.

What’s your background?

I have only just started my career in recruitment after completing my master’s in computational genetics. I have always had a love for data analytics and coding evidenced by my educational history, however I quickly realised my passion for being around people and for working with ambitious, likeminded people was most important to me.

When I came across tech recruitment I realised it was the perfect career for me as it allows me to combine my personal drive and communication skills, whilst still allowing me to ‘talk tech’ and further educate myself within the field.

Why did you join Insight?

The US tech division at insight was the most appealing to me because of the opportunity for growth and the excitement of building this market together. The ambition and drive of the insight team aligns with my own values and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.
