Here at Insight Recruitment, we’re excited to further grow our US Tech team as we aim to explore new markets. Danny Davies joins the Insight family in the position of Recruitment Consultant for our Software Engineering market.
I’m Danny & I’m a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Insight in the US Team. I’ll be working with Software Engineering across the US.
Why are you excited to work within this market?
The US is a whole new market for me. Even though I have experience in recruitment already, it feels like a new challenge.
Also, speaking with candidates and clients from the other side of the world is a nice element to the job and it’s been really interesting to see the cultural difference and the way things operate in the US.
What’s your background?
With both of my parents working in sales I always felt a natural career path for me would to be go into something salesy. After finishing university I spoke to a few friends I had in the recruitment industry and thought I’d give it a try! I’ve spent the last 3.5 years placing Software Engineers, Testers and DevOps Engineers into businesses across the UK.
I’ve also worked in 2 different sized agencies before Insight so I’ve had exposure to different types and methods of working which I think has really improved my game!
Why did you join Insight?
I joined Insight as throughout the interview process I got a really good vibe from everyone I spoke with. The chance to work for one of the key players in Manchester and helping to build a growing market was something that I couldn’t refuse! I really wanted to hit the next level and with the training and development that Insight offer I’m confident that I’m in the right place to achieve that!
What does Insight’s purpose of Empowering Sustainable Growth mean to you?
This was a really important factor for me when joining Insight, everyone’s aware of the stresses that come with working in such a high pressure job but it’s really refreshing to be a part of a company that put employee wellbeing and mental health at the forefront of what they do. The first thing I noticed on my first day was how good the energy was in the office and how welcome I felt straight away.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I like to DJ as a hobby & I run 2 music events with my mates in Manchester and Leeds!

Big party (Only once a month thought as I can’t handle hangovers anymore…)
