The Role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with deep expertise in building and scaling foundation models to drive the development of our core AI systems. You will be a foundational team member, collaborating closely with hardware, software, and research teams to design and implement models that enable physical systems to perceive, reason, and act intelligently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, train, and fine-tune large-scale foundation models for multi-modal learning (e.g., vision, language, action).

• Implement efficient training pipelines and optimization strategies for large-scale distributed learning.

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate models into real-time physical systems.

• Stay current on the latest research in generative modeling, self-supervised learning, and transformer-based architectures.

• Experiment, iterate, and innovate—moving rapidly from concept to prototype.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying foundation models (e.g., LLMs, vision-language models, multimodal transformers).

• Deep knowledge of machine learning theory and practical systems (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow).

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML toolchains and frameworks.

• Experience with large-scale model training on distributed systems (TPUs, GPUs).

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience.

Bonus Points

• Experience with robotics, control systems, or physical embodiment of AI models.

• Contributions to open-source ML frameworks or published research in top-tier conferences.

• Familiarity with edge deployment or real-time inference.
