Senior MEP Lead – Data Centre Sector
Location: Dublin, Ireland
REPORTING TO: International Projects Director
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Senior MEP Lead will oversee all MEP design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities across multiple Data Centre projects. This role involves leading a team of engineers, contractors, and consultants, ensuring high-quality and compliant MEP works, and driving the strategic goals of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and commissioning engineers.
- Build and manage relationships with suppliers, MEP contractors, and consultants.
- Develop and implement procurement and delivery strategies for MEP across multiple projects.
- Review designs, specifications, and schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Propose engineered solutions and alternatives to improve project outcomes.
- Monitor procurement, installation, and commissioning progress, ensuring alignment with project schedules.
- Ensure MEP installation is fully coordinated, eliminating waste and optimizing efficiency.
- Prepare and manage technical submittals and sustainability compliance (LEED, BREEAM).
- Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
- Prepare operation and maintenance manuals and lead project demonstrations as required.
The Candidate:
- Relevant engineering degree and at least 10 years of experience in a senior MEP role with a large contractor or consultancy.
- Strong leadership, team development, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP standards, digital technology, and regulations.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Flexibility for international travel as required.
