About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a pharmaceutical project in Leiden. This role involves overseeing health, safety, and environmental compliance on an ongoing maintenance project. The successful candidate will ensure best practices are followed, risks are mitigated, and regulatory standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on-site
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Provide safety training and guidance to teams and contractors
• Investigate incidents, report findings, and implement corrective measures
• Work closely with site management and stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• Fluent Dutch speaker – Essential for site communication
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in health and safety within construction
• Strong knowledge of European health and safety regulations
• Experience in pharmaceutical or maintenance projects is a plus
• Right to work in the EU – Visa sponsorship is not available
